Selection Details |
Job Description: * Prepare food for customers using quality predetermined method in a timely manner
* Set up stations with predetermined mise en place required to service all banquet and meal functions
* Practice sanitation and safety daily to ensure efficiency in the kitchen and customer satisfaction
* May rotate through various stations within the culinary team
* Must follow direction from supervisors and senior associates as well as support the supervision of apprentices and kitchen helpers
Job Requirements: * High School or equivalent education required; Graduate from Trade/Community College/Vocational School preferred Red Seal Certificate Required
* Minimum of 3 years Apprenticeship work experience or equivalent experience
* Able to physically demonstrate various culinary techniques and proper use of cooking equipment
* Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and lift up to 50 lbs on a regular and continuing basis
* Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250lbs
* Must demonstrate the ability to work in both hot and cold preparation areas
* Evidence of strong verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrate ability to read recipes and follow instructions |
